The Role of Coaching After RTT

RTT creates powerful breakthroughs — but how do you integrate those changes into your everyday life? That's where coaching comes in.

One of the questions clients often ask after a successful RTT session is: 'What next?' The session has been transformative. The recording is working. They feel genuinely different — lighter, clearer, more confident. But they're also stepping back into the same life: the same job, the same relationships, the same patterns of behaviour that have accumulated over years. How do you build a new life from the inside of an old one?

This is precisely where coaching comes in. While RTT works at the level of belief — changing what you fundamentally think and feel about yourself — coaching works at the level of behaviour and action. It's the bridge between the internal shift and the external life you want to create. RTT gives you the new belief; coaching helps you live from it.

In practice, this looks different for each person. Someone who has done RTT for confidence might work with Sarah on how to show up differently in meetings, how to navigate difficult conversations, and how to take the professional risks that their new self-belief now makes possible. Someone who has done RTT for people pleasing might work on how to set limits compassionately, how to manage the discomfort of disappointing others while knowing it's the right thing, and how to rebuild relationships on more equal terms.

Coaching also provides invaluable accountability. One of the realities of change — even genuine, subconscious-level change — is that old habits of thought and behaviour have deep grooves. The default is always to return to what's familiar, especially under pressure. Having regular check-ins with a coach who knows your journey, understands what you're working towards, and can help you notice when you're slipping into old patterns is enormously supportive.

The combination of RTT and coaching is, in Sarah's experience, the most powerful and complete approach to lasting change available. RTT removes the underlying block — the limiting belief that has been generating the problem. Coaching then provides the structure, skills, and support to build the life that the cleared space makes possible. For many clients, the most significant transformation happens not in the RTT session itself, but in the weeks and months of coaching that follow, as they gradually, purposefully, build the life they've always wanted.
