Rapid Transformational Therapy is one of the most talked-about approaches in modern therapy — but what exactly is it, and why does it work so fast? Here's everything you need to know.
Rapid Transformational Therapy, or RTT, was created by world-renowned therapist Marisa Peer after decades of working with everyone from everyday individuals to royalty, Olympic athletes, and Hollywood stars. It's a hybrid therapy that combines the most powerful elements of hypnotherapy, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and psychotherapy into one remarkably effective approach. The result is a method that often achieves in one to three sessions what traditional therapy can take months or even years to address.
At the heart of RTT is a simple but profound insight: most of our struggles in life — whether they show up as low confidence, anxiety, self-sabotage, or unhealthy habits — are rooted in beliefs we formed in the past, often in childhood. These beliefs were the best interpretation available to us at the time, given our age and understanding. But they follow us into adulthood, running on autopilot and shaping our experience of the world in ways we often don't consciously realise.
RTT works by guiding you into a state of deep relaxation — similar to the hypnotic state — which allows the conscious, critical mind to quieten down. In this state, your subconscious mind becomes highly accessible. Through a process called regression, Sarah guides you back to the scenes, experiences, or memories that are at the root of your current beliefs. You remain fully in control and aware throughout; the regression simply helps you to see the origin of a belief from a new perspective.
What happens next is where the transformation occurs. Once you understand why you formed a belief and can see it clearly for what it is — often a misinterpretation made by a young child in difficult circumstances — you have the power to release it. Sarah uses powerful, precisely chosen language to help your subconscious update that belief with a new, more empowering one. This is not positive thinking or affirmations; it's a deep reprogramming at the level where the belief actually lives.
After your RTT session, you receive a personalised audio recording made specifically for you. You listen to this every day for 21 to 30 days. This repeated listening is what embeds the change — it's the reason RTT produces lasting results rather than temporary relief. Your brain is neuroplastic; it can change at any age. Each time you listen to your recording, you're literally building new neural pathways, making the new belief feel more natural and the old one less powerful.
RTT is used to address an enormous range of issues: confidence and self-belief, anxiety, imposter syndrome, phobias, weight and eating issues, insomnia, performance anxiety, trauma, relationship patterns, and much more. If you've tried other approaches and found yourself understanding your problem intellectually but still feeling stuck in it emotionally, RTT may be exactly what you've been looking for.
