FAQ

Your Questions, Answered

If you're wondering whether RTT® or coaching could help, you're in the right place. Here you'll find answers to some of the questions I'm asked most often.

About RTT

What is RTT?

Rapid Transformational Therapy® (RTT®) is an approach created by Marisa Peer that combines elements of hypnotherapy, NLP, CBT and psychotherapy. RTT helps uncover the beliefs, thoughts and patterns that are holding you back, allowing us to understand where they began and create new, more empowering beliefs that support lasting change. Many people come to me for support with confidence, self-belief, anxiety, overthinking, imposter syndrome, performance anxiety, emotional blocks, and breaking unhelpful patterns.

How many 30-Day RTT Support Journeys will I need?

Many clients experience significant shifts after just one 30-Day RTT Support Journey. Some people choose further support depending on their individual circumstances, goals, and what they'd like to work on. During your Discovery Consultation, we'll talk about what's been going on for you, what you'd like to change, and what support feels most appropriate for your situation. There is no one-size-fits-all approach. Together, we'll explore what feels right for you.

What does the main RTT session feel like?

Most people describe the main RTT session as deeply relaxing, insightful, and empowering. You'll be guided into a relaxed state where we can explore the beliefs and patterns that may have been holding you back. Many clients are surprised by how natural the process feels and how much clarity they gain during the session. Everyone's experience is different, but most people leave feeling lighter, calmer, and with a greater understanding of themselves.

Will I lose control during the main RTT session?

No. You'll remain fully aware, fully conscious, and completely in control throughout the session. RTT uses a relaxed state of focused attention to help access the subconscious mind, but you cannot be made to do, say, or reveal anything you don't want to. Most people describe it as feeling similar to becoming absorbed in a book, film, or daydream.

What is the personalised recording and why is it important?

Following your main RTT session, I'll create a personalised transformational recording designed specifically for you. Listening regularly helps strengthen the new beliefs we've created together and supports your brain in building new neural pathways. Many people tell me this becomes one of the most valuable parts of their RTT journey, helping them continue to build confidence, self-belief and lasting change long after the session itself.

About Coaching

What's the difference between coaching and therapy?

Therapy often focuses on understanding and healing experiences from the past. Coaching focuses on where you are now, where you'd like to be, and how to move forward. My coaching programme is designed to help you build confidence, gain clarity, overcome what's been holding you back, and take meaningful steps towards the life you want.

Do I need to have RTT before starting coaching?

No. Coaching is available as a standalone service. Some people begin with coaching, while others choose coaching after RTT to help maintain momentum and build on the changes they've already made.

How often are coaching sessions?

Coaching is offered as a minimum three-month programme with weekly one-hour sessions. This provides consistency, accountability and the support needed to create meaningful and lasting change.

Is coaching available online?

Yes. I work with coaching clients online throughout the UK and internationally. I've supported people across Europe, America, Australia and beyond. Online coaching is flexible, effective and allows us to work together wherever you are in the world.

Discovery Consultations & Practical Questions

What happens during a Discovery Consultation?

A Discovery Consultation is a paid 45-minute session designed to give you clarity, not just information. Together we'll explore what's been going on, what you'd like to change, and what may be getting in the way. I use the same guided process that forms part of my 30-Day RTT Support Journey, which means many people leave with a much clearer understanding of themselves and their next steps. If we both feel RTT or coaching is the right fit, I'll explain the options available. If not, I'll always be honest and point you in the direction of what I believe would serve you best. The investment is £50.

Are sessions available online?

Yes. RTT sessions and coaching can both be delivered online via Zoom. I work with clients online throughout the UK and internationally, making it possible to access support wherever you're based. For those who prefer to meet in person, I offer RTT sessions in Cardiff and in the Vale of Glamorgan, South Wales. We can discuss alternative arrangements where appropriate.

What if I'm not sure which service is right for me?

Many people feel exactly the same. Often, people know they want things to feel different but aren't sure which approach would suit them best. During your Discovery Consultation, we'll talk about what's been going on for you, what you'd like to change, and whether RTT or coaching feels like the best fit for your goals. If you're unsure, that's absolutely fine. We'll explore the options together and decide what feels right for you.

How do I book a Discovery Consultation?

You can email me at heyitssarahelliston@gmail.com, call +44 7974 768182, or send me a WhatsApp message. We'll arrange a time to talk about what's been holding you back, what you'd like to change, and how I may be able to help. The investment is £50.

Still Have Questions?

I'd love to hear from you. If you're wondering whether RTT or coaching could help, a Discovery Consultation is the best place to start. We'll talk about what's been going on, what you'd like to change, and explore the approach that feels right for you. Sometimes just one conversation can bring a new level of clarity.

The investment is £50.
